Nous avons la chance d'accueillir Marie-José Raymond, épouse et collaboratrice de feu Claude Fournier, pour présenter "Bonheur d'occasion". Ce film, adapté du roman de Gabrielle Roy, dépeint la vie des habitants de Saint-Henri durant la Grande Dépression. À travers les luttes et les espoirs d'une famille ouvrière, "Bonheur d'occasion" reste un film d'une pertinence exceptionnelle pour nous, Montréalais, aujourd'hui.

Marie-José Raymond est issue d'une famille notable, petite-fille de l'homme politique René Morin. Licenciée en histoire, elle a été actrice, productrice, réalisatrice et scénariste. Aux côtés de Claude Fournier, elle a contribué à des œuvres marquantes du cinéma québécois, comme Deux femmes en or et Bonheur d'occasion, qu'ils ont co-scénarisé et produit ensemble.

En plus de ses contributions cinématographiques, elle a joué un rôle clé dans la création de MusiquePlus dans les années 1980. Son engagement dans l'industrie du film et de la télévision au Québec a laissé une empreinte durable, et c'est un honneur pour nous de l'accueillir aujourd'hui.

Machines Eh? A Story Telling Competition

Join us for the inaugural edition of a Moth-inspired event in Montreal! We’re excited to host a storytelling evening in English, centered around the theme of people and their interactions with machines.

Ten storytellers will have 5 minutes each to vie for prizes.

Our venue, located at 785 rue Mill, is a newly transformed space repurposed from an industrial-era building near the old port. During the intermission, enjoy a jazz performance and explore the art exhibitions on display.
